Biography

When I finished high school I had determined that I either wanted to be a Pilot, an Investment Banker or a Software Developer.

Since you can't apply for Pilot in the Danish Air force without a degree I decided to go to business school, it would also cover one part needed to be a banker, which meant it wouldn't entirely be a waste of time. However it became clear to me fairly early on that being an Investment Banker was not really something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

After graduating I signed on to the Air force for a one year contract. I took the test for pilot, but although very close - last man standing not to get a contract - I did not get through the eye of the needle.

I spent the next couple of years working in sales before I decided it was time to go back to school and get my degree in computer science. Now 8 years after graduating I can safely say it was a good move.

Technology

technology I spent 2.5 years at Aalborg Computer Science School which earned me a degree equivalent to a BA/Master. It's an extremely focused education where only 15-18% makes it through.

I wanted to visit the US so I decided to take a year at PLU in Tacoma WA to earn an American BA in Computer Science.

Fun Stuff

ps2 I must admit I have a couple of things I like to do when I'm not tied up to the computer coding away.

Some of those are golfing, soccer and occasionally playing a game or two either on my PS2 or on my computer. However after moving to the states I found soccer to be a bit dangerous since the skill level on recreational soccer leaves some to be desired.

The move to the states

technology After getting married it was only natural to move to the states. My wife had yet to learn Danish - it is not that easy - and I was probably also going to have an easier time getting a job here than she would in Denmark.

Unfortunately Denmark does not allow for dual citizenship so I'm stuck with a green-card and with no voting rights anywhere.
